Immigration through the French language and the Express Entry system
Today, economic immigration to Canada is becoming highly competitive, and the passing score for candidates is quite high. However, for those who speak French, Canada has great news! Additional points are given for proficiency in French, and separate French Proficiency draws are held under the Express Entry system, which gives Francophones the opportunity to immigrate faster.
! You can earn up to 50 extra points for having French language skills. These extra points will help improve your overall CRS score and increase your chances of receiving an invitation to apply for permanent residence through Express Entry.
! If your level of French corresponds to CLB 7 or higher, you can also be invited through special selections (category-based drawing) Express Entry, which will significantly speed up the immigration process.
