
The Innovation Stream Pilot allows highly skilled workers to obtain a closed employer-specific Work Permit in Canada through the Global Hypergrowth Project (GHP). The pilot program was extended until March 22, 2028.
What is Innovation Stream?
The Innovation Stream is a stream within the International Mobility Program that allows Canadian employers on the GHP list to hire foreign workers without obtaining LMIA.
The program is aimed at highly qualified personnel working in the fields of technology, biomedicine, data analytics, pharmaceuticals, agricultural technology, and others.
Requirements:
To be eligible for a Work Permit under the Innovation Stream, an applicant must:
- Have a job offer from one of the employers participating in the Global Hypergrowth Project (GHP)
- Work in a highly skilled position (NOC TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3)
- Meet the employment requirements of the position (education and experience that meet the requirements specified in the NOC description for the selected position)
